Another intensely passionate story in the Peaceful Harbor series. Just when I think Melissa Foster cannot create more intense, more compassionate heroes, she releases another book. Steve is a wonderful character - deeply passionate about the environment -- and Shannon. I was a little perplexed at the beginning regarding why Steve was so attached to his mountain and inflexible about leaving but over time, his love of the land and his role in became as much a part of the book as the other characters. Shannon is an exuberant character. I love how there were times when she could move from topic to topic, bouncing from one idea to another, and her bubbly personality came through the words on the page. I love how confident she is in her feelings for Steve, and the risk she takes to see if he feels the same. At the same time, I wanted to smack her upside the head a couple of times, wanting her to open her eyes and see what was right in front of her. Because while she took a chance to see what could develop between Steve, she was unwilling to take a chance on the permanence of that love. Her fear of losing connection to her family was valid but her lack of insight into ways to have both was frustrating. But, have no fear. As in true romance, Shannon and Steve find their happily-ever-after. And the reader finds another great read from Melissa Foster in the Braden's series. I had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook of Crushing on Love. B.J. Harrison was the narrator and he never fails to bring the story to life. Meet Shannon Braden who is sweet and fun loving and Steve Johnson who is uses to his solitude and loves living in the mountains. They first met when Shannon was doing her first research on foxes and again at her cousins wedding. They had sparks then and they both stayed quiet. Now she is back in Colorado and is hoping to see Steve. They have a very hot scene with a cupcake and pink frosting. Finger licking good. I loved it. Melissa Foster sure knows how to capture your attention.

4 stars! Another fanatic book by my favorite author, Melissa Foster! Melissa is my go to author when it comes to contemporary romance novels. She is the queen in contemporary! Crushing on Love is another moving story, about Shannon and Steve. Shannon travels back to Colorado, for 2 reasons. Research and Love. She wants to see Stave again. There was such a spark between them, she wants to see if it was a fluke or not. So, Shannon heads to Colorado to where Steve living dos crazy secluded life on the mountains and shakes his hole existence up! Steve likes things simple. He lives his life that way. Shannon seems to come in and changes everything. To Steve's surprise, he doesn't seem to mind all that Shannon changes and makes him feel. As much as he tried to fight it. there is no fighting the intense chemistry the two of them share. He doesn't seem to have much of a choice of fighting it. It is THAT strong! There is one problem though, Shannon is only visiting Colorado. They knew from the beginning this is not permanent. She is still trying to figure out her next move career wise as well as being away from her family and home. Now that they have realized how much they love and complete each other, can they make it work long distance?? I love Melissa Foster. I have a dream to meet her one day and talk about all her books with her. She is my person. So, needless to say, I loved this book.
