I had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook of Seaside Whispers. Melissa Foster definitely knows how to capture our attention and pull us in with her books and Seaside Whispers is no exception. B.J. Harrison was the narrator and he does an amazing job drawing us in. Matt Lacroux is a professor at Princeton who is taking a 3 month downtime to return to his hometown. Mira Savage is an employee who works for Matt's father. Mira is a single mother to her son Hagen. Mira and Matt have great chemistry together and add that to the way Matt always makes time to spend with her son Hagen. This a perfect situation any single mother looks for. Meet a nice, hot guy who actually cares and wants to spend that one on one time with her child. Absolutely perfect. I loved the audiobook and how we can all relate to these characters.

This book was the perfect escape on a cold and rainy November day and is now my favorite of the series. What I loved most about it was that it didn't feel bogged down by supporting characters. It's nice to see Bella, Jenna, Leanna, and Amy again, but they already had their own stories and happy endings. They don't need to dominate the whole story. This story was exactly how it should be, focusing mostly on Matt, Mira, and her adorable son Hagen with occasional cameos from everyone else. I'm such a sucker for a good single parent romance and this one delivered big time with a great mix of sweet and sexy. Another five star book.

4 stars Melissa Foster never disappoints me. She is truly a writing genius. No matter her subject manner, she nails it. Seaside Whisper is no different. This is a beautiful story about Matt, who comes to the small town to regroup and get to relax a little while on sabbatical from Princeton. He is a very smart man who has been focused on his career for the longest time. Now, he has met someone who has peeked his interest and wants to see if he can make it work. Mira is a single mom of a cute little boy who doesn't have time for a love life. She is focused on her son and only him. She is not even sure what dating is anymore. To add to it, Mira is not sure she wants to start anything with Matt, knowing he is only there for a short time. Why add more heartache to her or her son when Matt leaves. Matt is so sure that this will work, he is going to try any angel he can to win Mira over. I love this Seaside series. I especially love how Melissa can work in past characters and intertwine them into more and more books! It is like visiting old friends with new ones!!
